It's been hard coming up with a topic for my next entry, but I just feel like I have to let the words flow. This weekend, I had two cakes to make. One cake was a baby shower cake that was a monster!!! I do not mean in the shape and design of a monster, I mean it was energy, and time-consuming. The other cake, though it was not for a client, it was for my husband for Father's day. His cake was put on hold due to the lack of time working on the other cake. Not to mention I had my daughters 6th grade graduation to prepare for. It was just a hectic week for me, hell, the past two weeks were hectic and this weekend is going to be about the same. I have another graduation (my 6 year old is graduating from kindergarten), and I am thinking of combining the graduation theme cake with their recital cake (because of course, they have a recital this week also). This would definitely save me some time as well as material so now I have to draw out a new design.

Busy, busy, busy.........

This weekend, I have a baby shower cake to do. I have already gathered the supplies and am ready for the craziness that is cake decorating, to begin. As I begin the task, I often think of all of the cake competitions I watch on television, because I sometimes feel, like them, I'm in a race for time (actually, I am). I enjoy the feeling I get when I have completed a cake exactly the way It is drawn out. I am hoping that though this cake is an easy one for me, I want my clients to be floored by the end result.
